ACT AT MSHS

Mahomet-Seymour High School will, once again, offer the ACT this spring! All juniors will take the ACT here at MSHS on Tuesday, April 19, 2016. Registration for this particular test date will be taken care of at school and comes at no cost to the students/parents. A registration meeting will take place for all juniors during the week leading up to the test.

All juniors should plan to be in attendance on test day. Juniors who normally have late arrival must be at school by 8:15 a.m. Students should report to the fieldhouse and bring the following:

  • Two sharpened #2 pencils with erasers
  • Calculator (optional, but recommended)

This ACT assessment is accepted by colleges and universities as well as the NCAA Eligibility Center. Please note that it will NOT include the Writing component of the test.

For students planning to attend a four-year college after high school, we do suggest that they sign up to take the ACT on a national test date, as well. This provides them with multiple scores for colleges admissions offices to view when they complete their applications for admission. Registration for additional ACT testing can be done by visiting ACT.org.

If you have any questions, feel free to contact Tim Lybarger (MSHS Counselor / ACT Coordinator) at 586-4962.
