- World Cultures and World Geography will be combined into a single, semester-long elective with the title of World Geography.
- World History 1 and World History 2 will be offered every other year on a rotating basis. World History 1 will be the option for 2017-2018.
- Economics (Honors) will be available to students in grades 10-12.
- Sociology (Honors) will be available to students in grades 10-12.
- Based on a new state requirement, a semester-long Civics course will be open to all students. Passing this course is a graduation requirement starting with the Class of 2020 and beyond.
- Current History will be available to students in grades 10-12.
- Government & Law 2 (Honors) will be available to students in grades 10-12 -- Government & Law 1 is no longer a prerequisite.
